Why is my Suzuki Alto’s engine overheating in the hot weather?

I live in a region with extremely hot weather, and my Suzuki Alto has started overheating during the summer. Could the heat be causing this, and what are the common causes of engine overheating in such conditions?

In Pakistan, the hot weather can certainly contribute to engine overheating, especially if the cooling system is not functioning optimally. During high temperatures, the engine is under more stress, and if the cooling system isnt able to dissipate heat effectively, the engine temperature can rise beyond normal levels, leading to overheating.

Common Causes of Overheating in Hot Weather:

Coolant Issues: If the coolant level is low o r the coolant mixture is not right wrong antifreeze-to-water ratio, the engine may not cool properly.
Radiator Performance: In hot weather, if the radiator is clogged o r damaged, it won’t be able to cool the coolant efficiently.
Weak Water Pump: The water pump is responsible for circulating the coolant through the engine. A malfunctioning water pump can lead to overheating, especially in high temperatures.
Thermostat Failure: A faulty thermostat can prevent coolant from flowing at the proper rate, causing the engine to overheat.
Solution:

Check the Coolant Level: Regularly check the coolant level and ensure that the coolant mixture is correct.
Inspect the Radiator: Ensure the radiator is not clogged with debris o r dirt, as this can obstruct airflow and reduce its cooling efficiency.
Routine Maintenance: Have the entire cooling system, including the radiator, water pump, and thermostat, checked periodically, especially during the hotter months.
