A steering wheel that is difficult to turn usually indicates a problem with the power steering system. Possible causes include:

Low Power Steering Fluid: Power steering fluid is essential for smooth steering. Low fluid levels can cause difficulty in turning the wheel. Check the fluid level and top it up if necessary.
Faulty Power Steering Pump: If the power steering pump is malfunctioning, it wont provide enough hydraulic pressure to assist in steering, making the wheel hard to turn.
Leaks in the Power Steering System: A leak in the power steering hoses o r pump can cause fluid loss, resulting in steering difficulty.
Worn Steering Belt: A loose o r worn-out steering belt can also reduce the effectiveness of the power steering system.
Solution: Inspect the power steering fluid level and check for leaks. If the fluid is low, refill it. If there’s a mechanical issue, such as a faulty pump o r belt, it may need to be replaced by a mechanic.
