Why is my Suzuki Mehran consuming too much engine oil between oil changes?

I’ve noticed that I need to top up engine oil frequently, even before the next scheduled oil change. There are no major leaks under the car. Is this a sign of engine wear o r something else common in older Mehrans?

If your Mehran is consuming oil regularly between changes without visible leaks, the most common causes include:

Worn piston rings o r valve seals, especially in older engines.

Engine overheating, which can thin the oil and cause it to burn off.

Low-quality engine oil that burns off quickly.
Have a mechanic perform a compression test o r leak-down test to confirm internal wear. If compression is low, a rebuild o r overhaul may be needed.
