Why Is My Suzuki Mehran Making a Rattling Noise When Driving Over Bumps?

Whenever I drive over speed breakers o r rough roads, my Mehran makes a rattling o r knocking noise from underneath. It sounds like something is loose in the suspension o r chassis. What should I check first?

Rattling o r knocking over bumps is usually from:

Loose o r worn suspension components: Ball joints, tie rods, o r shocks might be worn out.

Broken o r loose exhaust hangers: Exhaust pipes may knock against the underbody.

Damaged engine o r gearbox mounts: Worn-out mounts can let the engine rock, especially over rough terrain.

🛠 Fix:
Get the front and rear suspension checked for any play o r looseness.

Inspect and tighten o r replace exhaust hangers.

Replace engine mounts if there’s visible cracking o r movement during acceleration.
