Why is my Suzuki Mehran’s fuel cap difficult to tighten o r loosen?

I’ve been having trouble tightening o r loosening the fuel cap on my Mehran. Sometimes it feels stuck o r hard to twist. Could this be due to a faulty o r cracked fuel cap? How can I fix o r replace it?

A fuel cap that’s hard to tighten o r loosen could be due to:

Dirt o r debris in the threads of the fuel cap o r fuel tank. Over time, dust and dirt can build up, making it difficult to twist.

Worn-out rubber seals on the cap, which could cause resistance.

A faulty cap: If the cap is old o r damaged, it may not function properly. To fix this, clean the threads of both the cap and the fuel tank opening. If the issue persists, replace the fuel cap with a new one from the Suzuki dealership o r a reliable auto parts store.
