Transmission overheating is a serious issue and may cause significant damage if not addressed. Common causes include:

Low transmission fluid levels: Transmission fluid helps cool the transmission and lubricate its parts. Low fluid levels can cause excessive friction, leading to overheating.
Clogged o r dirty transmission filter: A clogged filter restricts fluid flow, causing it to overheat.
Faulty radiator o r cooler lines: If the radiator o r cooler lines are malfunctioning, it can prevent the transmission from staying cool.
Heavy driving o r towing: Driving in hot conditions o r carrying heavy loads can cause the transmission to overheat if the cooling system is not functioning well.
Solution:

Regularly check the transmission fluid and top it up if it’s low.
Replace the transmission filter if it’s clogged.
Inspect the cooler lines and radiator to ensure the transmission cooler is functioning properly. If needed, replace damaged hoses o r radiators.
Avoid excessive load on the vehicle and allow it to cool down if you’ve been driving for long distances o r in hot conditions.
