Honda Fit 2nd generation Overview
The Honda Fit 2nd Generation, also known as the Honda Jazz in other regions, was launched in 2007 as a front-engine front-wheel-drive hatchback. It features a larger wheelbase and exterior dimensions compared to the previous 2nd Gen Honda Fit, offering more room inside and an increase in boot capacity. Production lasted for seven years, and the Fit was available in three variants: F, G, and RS, each available in Smart Style Edition.
Exterior
The 2nd Generation Fit's exterior features a unique design language, with narrow, sleek upswept headlights, a chrome grille, a large front bumper with a rectangular air intake flanked by standard circular fog lights, and a high rear end housing side-swept taillights and a standard case hatchback. The RS variant features a sportier and more aggressive design, with a larger front bumper, air intakes, a roof spoiler, a larger rear bumper, and a sports exhaust system.
Interior
The interior of the 2nd Generation Honda Fit features a familiar Honda design language, with black plastic and polished silver plastic trim pieces. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric, and standard features on the L variant include 6 airbags, stability control, trip computer, a multifunction steering wheel, a 4-speaker stereo audio system with AUX, CD and USB input, air conditioning, cup holders, power lock doors, power steering, power windows, and a tachometer. The higher-end G and RS variants come with alloy wheels and front fog lights, while options include satellite navigation and a Bluetooth-equipped stereo audio system. The Fit's interior is spacious, offering a decent level of comfort and interior refinement, and the Smart Style edition allows for the rear seats to fold in 18 different ways.
Engine and Performance
The Honda Fit 2nd Generation is equipped with a 1.3-liter SOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine, capable of producing 100bhp at 4700 RPM. The gearbox options include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed automatic, and a CVT automatic. The Fit's performance is not exceptional, with poor acceleration and an unrefined transmission, but it offers a decent level of handling and maneuverability on the road.
Mileage
The Honda Fit 2nd Generation can achieve an average of up to 15 KM/L, making for an estimated driving range of up to 600 KM from the 40-liter fuel tank.

The main competitors of the Honda Fit 2nd Generation are the Toyota Vitz, Kia Ceed, Toyota Passo, Suzuki Wagon R, Suzuki Alto, Daihatsu Charade, Daihatsu Mira, and Honda City.
