Design Features of the Prototype

When Honda unveiled the stylish Prelude concept last fall, it appeared almost production-ready. Although the prototype is wrapped in a blue cover to disguise its design, key features remain visible. The curvy silhouette, narrow grille that seamlessly blends into the headlights, and the dramatically sloping rear roofline are all apparent. Additionally, the prototype is equipped with sleek black multispoke wheels reminiscent of those on the concept model.

While the latest spy shots do not provide substantial new information, they reaffirm that the new Prelude will feature a hybrid powertrain. Though the idea of a manual transmission appeals to many, it is unlikely that Honda will adapt its hybrid system to support this option.

Despite the uncertainty around specific features, fans of the Prelude nameplate can eagerly anticipate its return. Although there is no confirmed release date for the United States, Honda has suggested that the Prelude could debut in the European market as early as next year, giving fans something to look forward to.
