Hyundai's Flagship Electric Car Caught Rocking Camouflage

Hyundai's highly anticipated electric SUV, the Ioniq 7, has been spotted in camouflage, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from this midsize crossover. Built on the Kia EV9's E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 7 will spearhead Hyundai's electric SUV lineup, showcasing design elements similar to its Kia counterpart and previous concept models. While the body and roofline resemble the EV9, the disguised fascia hints at distinct front and rear designs. Hyundai Latest Features

Staying true to its concept, the Ioniq 7 retains many features, although coach doors have been replaced by regular doors and side windows. The lighting design at the front and back remains faithful to the original concept. With an extended 126-inch wheelbase, a spacious cabin, and a flat floor, Hyundai promises the Ioniq 7 will provide an unparalleled sense of space.

Leverage EV9 Platform

Leveraging the Kia EV9 platform, the Ioniq 7 will offer a range of drivetrain options, including single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. Rapid charging at 800V, a hallmark of Hyundai and Kia EVs using the E-GMP platform, will be supported. The production version is expected to house a 100-kilowatt-hour battery, delivering 300 miles of range and an impressive 308 horsepower.

Hyundai Electric Mobility

In line with its commitment to electric mobility, Hyundai is investing $7.4 billion in US EV manufacturing by 2025. Building on the success of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 launched last year, the company is ramping up EV production, with the Ioniq 7 anticipated to hit the market in late fall or early 2024.
