Kia Stonic Gets More Orders After Price Cut
Last month, Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) surprised everyone by announcing a substantial price cut for the Kia Stonic Ex+ in Pakistan. This unexpected move slashed the price by over Rs. 1.5 million, generating an immediate and enthusiastic response from potential buyers.
Following the announcement, LMC reported that the Kia Stonic was "fully booked" for deliveries until September 2024. They noted that deliveries would begin in May 2024 according to the order sequence. However, bookings for September 2024 deliveries required a partial payment of Rs. 2.35 million, reflecting the high demand and customer interest.
Recent the impressive sales performance of the Kia Stonic in April. In just three days, Kia managed to sell over 100 units and received more than 500 bookings, underscoring the strong market reception to the price reduction.
Meanwhile, LMC addressed inquiries about potential price reductions for the Kia Sportage lineup. The company clarified that there would be no further price cuts for the Sportage beyond the previously offered limited-time promotion. This decision was attributed to the stability of foreign exchange rates, the existing taxation and duties structure, and the steady prices of commodities.
The overwhelming response to the Kia Stonic's price reduction and the solid sales figures demonstrate the market's positive reception to LMC's strategy. However, the decision to maintain current pricing for the Sportage reflects a cautious approach, ensuring price stability amid stable economic factors.
