Lucid Gravity SUV Unveils: 800 hp, 708 km Range

Lucid Motors, a pioneer in electric vehicle technology, has revealed its latest offering - the 2025 Lucid Gravity. This electric SUV not only boasts an impressive EPA range of over 708 km but also aims to redefine performance benchmarks in its segment.

Characterized by a sleek silhouette, the Gravity features a raked roofline seamlessly merging into a tail spoiler, achieving an outstanding drag coefficient of under 0.24, a remarkable accomplishment for an SUV. Accommodating up to 7 passengers, it stands at 1,656 mm in height, 1,999 mm in width, and measures 5,034 mm in length, with a wheelbase of 3,035 mm.

Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive platform similar to Lucid Air models, the top-tier version of the Gravity delivers over 800 hp and accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. While specific details on different versions are yet to be unveiled, the vehicle utilizes a 900-volt architecture, enabling a rapid 322 km range recharge in just 15 minutes.

The interior of the Lucid Gravity promises comfort for adults across all three rows, featuring rear doors that open at a full 90 degrees for easy access. The seven-seater variant provides a cargo space exceeding 3,171 liters, likely measured to the ceiling. The five-seater, with well-integrated folding seats, offers around 3,398 liters (up to the windows).

Additionally, the Gravity incorporates a front trunk with a capacity of more than 227 liters, showcasing Lucid's commitment to maximizing space and utility. Optional Zero Gravity air suspension with multiple height modes enhances off-road capabilities without compromising drag or handling at higher speeds. The vehicle's stable and responsive driving experience is ensured by a five-link front suspension, akin to the Lucid Air.

Lucid has announced a starting price for the Gravity below $80,000, with the initial Dream Edition set for deliveries in late 2024. However, it's crucial to clarify that while Lucid made it seem as if the Dream Edition would start at $80,000, this pertains to the entry-level Gravity model. The actual price of the Dream Edition is yet to be confirmed, but for context, the Lucid Air Dream Edition initially had a price tag of $169,000, more than twice that of the base model.
