MG Motors Pakistan is all set to make waves at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Show 2024 by unveiling its locally assembled MG HS Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) on October 25. Auto enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the reveal of this new variant, which promises a fusion of electric and hybrid power.

Entering the Hybrid Market
The MG HS PHEV is part of MG’s popular HS lineup and marks the brand’s official entry into Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle market. Impressive Performance Specs
Under the hood, the MG HS PHEV features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor. Together, they generate 160 hp at 5500 RPM and 250 Nm of torque at 4300 RPM. The vehicle meets Euro 5 emission standards, and MG Motors claims an impressive fuel economy of 58 km/liter, though actual performance may vary in real-world conditions.

Vehicle Specifications
The MG HS PHEV boasts a length of 4574 mm, a width of 1876 mm, and a height of 1685 mm. Its wheelbase is 2720 mm, and it offers 448 liters of trunk space, expandable to 1375 liters. Equipped with McPherson struts in the front and multilink coil overs in the rear, it also has an electric power steering system and alloy rims with 235/50R18 tires.

Electric Power and Range
The PHEV is powered by a 16.6 kWh battery, which offers a pure electric range of 52 km. The electric motor itself produces 120 hp and 230 Nm of torque, making the MG HS PHEV an appealing option for environmentally-conscious drivers.
