Sasta Petrol Scheme Helps People Across Pakistan

The petrol prices were increased enormously in the country during last two or three months and it has created an havoc among the common people of Pakistan. Federal government carries out the dissemination of aid among the poor and marginalized individuals and families under ‘Sasta Petrol / Sasta Diesel’ scheme across the country. The government has announced this scheme as Sasta Petrol Scheme Helps People Across Pakistan

The federal government has disbursed over Rs.1.2 billion until 16 July to over 6 million families all over the country and the regional breakdown of beneficiaries and the government disbursed the amount, which is given as under:

Prime Minister launched ‘sasta petrol sasta diesel’ scheme last month in order to provide the facility to the underprivileged segments of Pakistan. People, who have income less than Rs.40,000/-, can avail this scheme and they would be the main beneficiaries of this program.

The finance ministry has also acknowledged that the financial struggles of the people due to the vulnerable economy and now the government needs to introduce some reforms in this regard.

‘Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel’ program is useable for purposes like to buy groceries and medicine as petrol price hikes left the bad impact on the prices of essential goods.
