Top Selling Motorcycles Brands of June 2024 - PAMA Report
Every month, PAMA releases a sales report covering various automotive products, including motorcycles. The June 2024 report is now available, revealing the top-selling motorcycle brands for the month.
Atlas Honda Dominates (80,204 Sales)
Atlas Honda remains the market leader with a near-monopoly. No other brand comes close in sales or revenue. Atlas Honda made 80,000 sales in June 2024. All other brands combined (Yamaha, United, Suzuki, Road Prince, Hi-speed, Ravi, and Qingqi) sold 9,800 units. Although sales dropped 22% from May 2024's 103,297 units, they increased 6% compared to June 2023.United Motorcycles (4,072 Sales)
United Motorcycles, a Chinese brand, secured the second spot, surpassing Suzuki and Yamaha. Known as the No. 1 local motorcycle brand in terms of sales, United is a popular choice for those who can't afford the CD70. Sales figures include models like US 70, US 100, and US 125. Three-wheeler rickshaw sales are listed separately in the PAMA report.Suzuki Struggles (1,570 Sales)
Despite being a well-known brand sold 1,570 motorcycles in june 2024. Suzuki is in third place due to its high pricing. Many consumers can't afford Suzuki's expensive commuter motorcycles. Suzuki’s GD 110s, a 110cc bike, costs PKR 352,000. The GSX 125, a 125cc motorcycle, is priced at PKR 500,000. These high prices make other options like the CG 125 or GS150 more appealing to buyers.
Road Prince (1,109 Sales)
Road Prince, another local brand often considered Chinese, sold 1,109 motorcycles in June 2024. It serves as an alternative for those seeking a new 70cc bike but can't afford a CD70. Road Prince and United offer similar quality bikes. United’s higher sales are due to more significant marketing efforts compared to Road Prince.Yamaha's Decline (338 Sales)
Yamaha , known for its YBR motorcycles, sold only 338 units in June 2024. This low figure reflects ongoing challenges for the brand. Previous sales: 400 units in May, 321 in April, and 285 in March. Lack of innovation over the past seven years, with only sticker changes each year. Consistently increasing prices despite offering no new models or features. Conclusion
These figures highlight the competitive landscape of the motorcycle market in Pakistan, with Atlas Honda maintaining a dominant position while other brands struggle with pricing and innovation challenges.
