Toyota Fortuner & Hilux Revo GR-S First Look
Toyota Gazoo Racing, a Motorsport division of Toyota, has developed the GR-S variants of the Toyota Fortuner and Hilux Revo in Pakistan. In this review, we will explore the newly added features in these GR-S variants and test their drive.
History
The Toyota Hilux Revo and Fortuner have been successful cars in Pakistan, and Toyota has consistently improved them. The latest upgrades include a 2.8 1GD engine in 2018 and a facelift in 2021. In 2022, top-of-the-line variants were added, namely the Fortuner Legender and the Revo Rocco. In 2023, Toyota introduced the GR-S sports variants, which are the top-spec models of these cars.
Fortuner GR-S Exterior Changes
The Fortuner GR-S has a refreshed front profile with a redesigned bumper and a different-shaped radiator grille. The fog light housing and a blacked-out skid plate are also changed. The sides are now blacked out with all chrome trims being body-color and gloss black. The main highlight is the dark grey 18-inch alloys and red GR brake calipers. The rear has a Fortuner spelled trim and a gloss black rear diffuser. GR badges are added at the front and rear profiles of the car.

Fortuner GR-S Interior Changes
The Fortuner GR-S interior features suede and leather GR seats with red stitching, smoked chrome trims, and a carbon fiber center panel. The steering wheel is stitched in red with a prominent GR badge. The instrument cluster has red dials and a GR animation. The pedals are finished in metal.
Revo GR-S Exterior Changes
The Revo GR-S has a distinctive blacked-out grille with Toyota spelled out, gloss black trims and dark grey 18-inch rims with red GR brake calipers. The over-fenders are in gloss black, and the deck bar now has lights that can be turned on and off from the inside. The rear has a gloss black bumper with GR badges.

Revo GR-S Interior Changes
The Revo GR-S interior features contrast suede and leather GR seats with red stitching and a red-stitched steering wheel. The instrument cluster has red dials, and the infotainment screen has a new red-and-black interface with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The paddle shifters enhance driving pleasure.
Drive
The GR-S variants do not have any engine upgrades, but monotube shock absorbers have been added. These absorbers use gas pressure to absorb shocks, providing better suspension response over potholes and uneven roads. They also enhance high-speed stability.
Price
The Fortuner GR-S is priced at PKR 21,089,000, while the Revo GR-S is priced at PKR 16,149,000.
