Toyota Prado 2024 Revealed in New Photos

The launch of the highly anticipated Toyota Prado 2024 has been postponed from 2023 to April 2024. While most details about the new Prado remain unchanged, including its transition to a version of the 300 Series' TNGA-frame platform, a report from Japanese media suggested a new petrol engine.


Powertrain Changes
Magazine X reported that Toyota would change the car's official name from Land Cruiser Prado to Land Cruiser 250 Series in Japan. The Japanese market will also receive a new 2.4-liter turbo-petrol engine from Lexus NX and Toyota Kluger, replacing the 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated petrol 4-cylinder engine.
Meanwhile, the 2.8-liter turbo diesel 4-cylinder engine will reportedly remain in the market. Some reports suggest that Toyota will install two electric motors to increase horsepower and torque while improving fuel economy.

Despite Toyota keeping the new model under wraps, global car blog WhichCar? has rendered the 2024 Prado. These unofficial renderings are based on new car models, mixed with the Prado design history and a rendering by the Japanese auto blog BestCarWeb. BestCarWeb is known for being close in its renders, citing inside sources.


   

  

Expected Exterior and Interior Changes

Reports suggest that the new Prado will maintain its elegance while becoming more aggressive and rugged. The interior is expected to be more modern with new tech features, including an infotainment screen and connectivity features. The overall size will mostly stay the same, providing comfortable rows of seats and a tight third row.
