Features

The most important feature of this bike is design of the sports bike, which is sleek, integrated and it has given the aerodynamic profile. The features of this bike are included with traction control, slide control, launch control, SCS, unified ABS, anti-wheelie control and quick shift system. The rider can control all these controls through digital instruments cluster. You can check the hardness and strength of throttle, which the driver can adjust to suit the particular driver needs.
The quick shift system can help in seem-less upshift and downshift, when it is needed. The exterior color of bike is black and it is included with many cosmetic changes to give it the sportier look and aggressive in nature. The bike has dual LED headlights instead of the projector headlights, which are added in the previous generations. The LED headlights can be adjusted through ECU of bike and the side mirrors are added with LED turn indicators and LED DRLs are also added to give it wonderful look.



Performance

Yamaha YZF-R1 is added with 998 cc incline 4-cyliner CP4 engine and it is liquid cooled 16 valves engine. The engine has the features of cross plane crankshaft technology. The CP4 motor in this engine provides the stable and linear delivery of torque. It improves the grip on rear wheel and ensures the overall stability of bike. This bike takes 4.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and takes 9.45 seconds to go from 0 to 200 km/h. the engine of this motor bike is paired with 6 speed transmission with the wet multi-plate assist and slipper clutch.



Chassis and Suspension

Yamaha has included the aluminum fuel tank with 4.5 gallons capacity, which is only 3.5 pounds heavy and it helps to reduce the weight of the sports bike. It has slim aluminum deltabox frame and magnesium is used in chassis to make this bike lighter and it leaves the deep impact in its shape and design. It also uses the swing arm suspension system, which can be tuned with the use of ECU of bike.
The use of magnesium wheels in R1 assists in responsive handling and quick directional changes and it has suspension in United Braking System to help in applying the rear brakes when the front brakes is activated. The fully adjustable KYB shocks are included to improve its handling.
