Are BMW 2 Series turbo engines inefficient for Pakistani road conditions?

The BMW 2 Series comes with a turbocharged engine, which is supposed to be fuel-efficient. However, I feel that it consumes too much fuel, especially in local driving conditions. Could turbo lag, road conditions, o r fuel type be affecting its performance? What can be done to improve fuel efficiency?

The BMW 2 Series has a turbocharged engine, which can be fuel-efficient under the right conditions. However, in Pakistan’s driving environment, some factors may cause inefficiencies:

Turbo Lag in Traffic: The turbo engine is designed for highway performance. In city driving, turbo lag can lead to sudden fuel surges.
High Heat & Humidity: Turbo engines need cool air for efficient combustion. High temperatures can reduce efficiency.
Road Quality: Poor roads require frequent braking and acceleration, negatively affecting mileage.
Octane Sensitivity: Turbo engines need higher octane fuel for optimal performance, and lower RON fuels can result in higher consumption.
Solution:

Use Premium High-Octane Fuel at least 95 RON to prevent knocking and improve efficiency.
Ensure regular engine and turbo maintenance oil changes, air filter checks.
Drive in Eco Mode to limit unnecessary turbo boost in city traffic.
Avoid aggressive acceleration, which can trigger excessive fuel injection.
