Can a busted starter motor cause my Suzuki Mehran’s battery to drain?

My Mehran’s battery keeps draining, even though I’m using a good-quality battery. Sometimes the car doesn’t start at all, and I hear a clicking sound. Could a busted starter motor be draining the battery, and how can I fix this issue?

Yes, a busted starter motor can cause the battery to drain. If the starter motor is malfunctioning, it might draw excessive current from the battery when trying to start the engine. This can lead to the battery losing charge faster than usual. If your battery is draining and you hear clicking sounds when trying to start, have the starter motor and electrical connections inspected by a mechanic to prevent further battery damage.
