Can a Clogged Catalytic Converter Cause My Suzuki Bolan to Overheat?

My Suzuki Bolans engine temperature seems to rise quickly, and I’m worried about overheating. Could the catalytic converter be clogged, leading to this problem? How does a clogged converter contribute to engine overheating, and what signs should I look out for?

Yes, a clogged catalytic converter can cause engine overheating. When the converter becomes clogged, it causes excessive backpressure in the exhaust system. This restricts the engines ability to expel exhaust gases efficiently, causing the engine to work harder, generate more heat, and eventually overheat. Additionally, the engine may run at higher temperatures, and you might notice the vehicle struggling to cool down. If you see signs of overheating o r experience unusual engine temperatures, the catalytic converter might be the culprit, and it should be inspected and replaced if necessary.
