Why is my Suzuki Bolan’s fuel average ping—could low tire pressure be the reason?

My van’s fuel efficiency has recently ped, and I haven’t changed my driving route o r habits. Someone told me low tire pressure can increase fuel consumption. Can that happen in Bolan, and how often should I check pressure?

Absolutely. Low tire pressure is one of the top hidden reasons for poor fuel economy in Bolan vans.

Here’s why:

Underinflated tires create more rolling resistance, which forces the engine to work harder, especially in stop-and-go city traffic.

This reduces your km per litre, especially if youre also carrying passengers o r goods.

A pressure of just 5 PSI can reduce mileage by 5–8%.

What to do:

Check pressure weekly, especially during weather changes.

Fill tires early in the morning when they’re cold for accurate readings.

Use a digital gauge o r visit a service station with a calibrated pressure monitor.
