Can a Dirty o r Faulty Throttle Position Sensor Affect Pickup in My Suzuki Bolan?

My Bolan feels sluggish and doesnt pick up speed quickly. The acceleration is slow, even with a light load. Could the throttle position sensor TPS be dirty o r misaligned, and is this a common issue in older EFI Bolans?

Yes, the Throttle Position Sensor TPS tells the ECU how much you’re pressing the accelerator. If the TPS is:

Dirty, worn, o r misaligned, it sends incorrect signals

This causes slow o r uneven acceleration

In some cases, the RPM may jump o r stay high at idle

In Pakistan, where dusty conditions are common, the throttle body and TPS get dirty quickly. A cleaning spray o r realignment may help temporarily, but replacement is often needed in older Bolans.
