Can a faulty door lock actuator cause my Suzuki Mehran’s door lock to fail?

I’ve been having trouble with the door lock actuator in my Suzuki Mehran. Sometimes the door won’t lock o r unlock, especially when using the remote. Can a faulty actuator be the cause of this issue, and how can I check o r replace it?

Yes, a faulty door lock actuator can cause the door locks to fail. The actuator is the electric motor that controls the locking and unlocking of the doors. If it malfunctions, you may experience:

Inconsistent locking/unlocking: Sometimes the door may not lock o r unlock using the remote o r central locking system.

No response to central locking signal: The actuator may fail to respond to the electrical signal from the control module. To fix this, check the actuator for damage o r malfunction. If its faulty, you will need to replace the door lock actuator.
