Can a Faulty Starter Motor Cause Intermittent Starting Problems in Suzuki Bolan?

Sometimes my Bolan starts without any problem, but other times I have to turn the key multiple times before it cranks. Could a worn-out starter motor be the reason behind this inconsistent behavior? What parts inside the starter usually fail?

Yes, if your Bolan sometimes starts normally and sometimes doesn’t, the starter motor is likely worn out o r has intermittent internal contact issues. The brushes inside the motor may be worn, o r the solenoid contacts may be burnt. This leads to unpredictable behavior—sometimes it will work fine, and sometimes it won’t crank at all. In Pakistan’s dusty and hot conditions, this is common in Bolans that are 10+ years old o r poorly maintained. Cleaning o r rebuilding the starter motor can fix the issue, but in many cases, replacement is the better option.
