Can cheap o r desi brake pads cause problems in Suzuki Bolan braking performance?

I bought locally made “desi” brake pads to save money, but now my Bolan takes longer to stop, and I hear a grinding noise. Are low-quality pads common for this issue, and should I switch to branded ones even if they cost more?

Yes, low-quality “desi” o r unbranded brake pads are a major cause of braking issues:

They wear out quickly and unevenly.

They generate excessive heat and dust, which can damage your brake drums and reduce performance.

They can lead to brake noise squealing o r grinding.

Braking distance increases, especially under load o r in wet conditions.

Its always better to invest in branded pads like Bosch, MK Kashiyama, o r Nissin if available. They may cost a bit more upfront but last longer and perform more reliably.
