Can dirty spark plugs cause engine sputtering in Suzuki Bolan?

My Bolan’s engine sputters at low RPMs and sometimes misfires while idling. A local mechanic suggested the spark plugs might be dirty o r worn out. Is this a common cause in the Bolan, and how often should spark plugs be cleaned o r replaced?

Yes, dirty o r worn spark plugs are one of the most common reasons for engine sputtering in Suzuki Bolan, especially in vans used on CNG. Over time, spark plugs can collect carbon deposits o r become fouled by oil, which leads to:

Weak o r inconsistent spark

Misfiring and poor idle

Increased fuel consumption

In Pakistani conditions dust, poor fuel, rough maintenance, spark plugs should be cleaned every 8,000–10,000 km and replaced every 20,000–25,000 km, o r sooner if running on CNG.

Tip: Use NGK o r Denso spark plugs recommended for CNG if youre using gas. They resist fouling better.
