Car Vitz flag type indication

I have Toyota Vitz. I saw that a flag type indication appears on the speedometer of my car. The pics are given under. Kindly tell me about this indication. Thanks in advance.

That indicates coolant temperature. When you start the car in the morning, it will be blue indicating that temperature below normal. When the engine warms and coolant reaches optimum temperature the light will go out. If it turns red, it means the engine is overheating.
