Chevy Joy CNG issue?

Chevy Joy CNG issue?

Hello All,

My Chevy Joy Alhamdulillah completed 1200kms recently and I decided to test it on CNG. I put CNG 2 days back and had few kms of it without any issue. The car was not used yesterday and when today I took it out it started on first self as usual.

Now, problem started when I started it again after my first stopover. This time it took me 3-4 self (It was on CNG and I had to put it on Petrol to start it). I drove the car for 15-20 mins, made a stopover and when started it again, it refused. I had to make it push start (dhakka). Since that time I am using it on petrol and its doing fine.

I have noticed CNG smell in car while I was driving it on CNG in morning today.

I will taking it to the showroom (as it is still in warranty) in next couple of days but I would like to know what's the issue could be. My guess is CNG is affecting the engine some how

Thats not a big issue, its just matter of setting your cng kit, if you know its working and the parts in the regulator and their working, you will easily understand.

The thing is that you are using your kit very first time so the cng pressure reaches to the diaphragms to making them a little expansion, when you stop the car n it cool down, the diaphragms try to strach again, resulting this is not giving the proper gas flow to start.

Remedy: Keep the selector switch on gas, try to start and at the same time adjust mixture screw on the regulator by rotating it clock and anticlock wise. At one point car will start, there is no need to push accellerator (rather it should not be pushed and car has to start).
