Cool air intake for 1997 Civic VTi?

guyz can anyone help me with this?

if i add a cool air intake on my Honda Civic VTi (never on CNG) what effect will it have on:

a) the fuel economy?
b) the bhp?
c) the acceleration?
d) the life of the engine?
e) other performance measures?

First things to ensure. Do a before and after test (0-100km or something) to make sure you are making more power. the extra intake noise does not mean your engine is making more power!

Often on Hondas you end up losing power if the intake is no good, hence i advise you do the test.

If all else is well, the extra breathing capacity should increase power and torque levels and hence acceleration. it also helps fuel economy, however that all depends on your driving style. Drive hard and obviously the engine will consume more fuel. Should not affect the life of the engine.
