Does Driving in Pakistan’s Hot Weather Cause My Bolan to Burn More Oil?

I live in Punjab, where temperatures often go above 40°C in summer. Lately, I’ve seen my Suzuki Bolan burning more oil than usual. Could Pakistan’s extreme heat be affecting engine oil consumption? What can I do to control this problem?

Yes, driving in extremely hot weather like the summer temperatures in Punjab can affect oil consumption. High temperatures cause the oil to thin, and in older engines, this can lead to faster oil burning. Additionally, high ambient heat puts more stress on the engine, potentially leading to higher oil consumption.

Solution: Ensure you’re using high-quality oil designed to handle high temperatures, like synthetic oil. Its also a good idea to regularly check and change your oil to ensure it’s still effective in protecting the engine in extreme heat. Using a thicker oil grade might also help reduce consumption in hot climates.
