Does the Suzuki Bolan Have a Problem With the Thermostat Valve Causing Overheating?

I’ve been facing overheating issues with my Bolan, and someone suggested the thermostat valve might be stuck. Is the thermostat a common failure point in the Suzuki Bolan, and should I consider removing o r replacing it?

Yes, a faulty thermostat valve is a common issue in Suzuki Bolan engines. The thermostat regulates coolant flow to the engine, and if it gets stuck in the closed position, coolant won’t circulate properly, leading to overheating. Some local mechanics in Pakistan remove the thermostat entirely to avoid the problem, especially in hot weather, but that’s not ideal for engine performance. It’s better to replace the thermostat with a genuine part. If you notice the engine heating up quickly and the radiator hoses remain cool, it’s likely the thermostat is the issue.
