How Can I Reduce High Engine Oil Consumption in My Suzuki Bolan?
My Suzuki Bolan has started using more oil than usual, and I’m worried it might be a long-term engine issue. I’ve already ruled out leaks. What are the most effective ways to reduce oil consumption in older Bolans, especially when parts and maintenance in Pakistan are not always reliable?

To reduce excessive oil consumption in your Suzuki Bolan:
Ensure regular oil changes: Change the oil and filter every 3,000–5,000 km depending on driving conditions to maintain proper lubrication and reduce the chances of oil burning.
Use the correct oil: Choose high-quality oil suited for your climate. For Pakistan’s hot climate, synthetic oils o r oils with higher viscosity may be better.
Inspect and replace worn parts: Worn piston rings o r valve seals often cause high oil consumption. If your engine is old, parts like these might need replacement.
Improve driving habits: Avoid excessive revving, long idling, and driving at very high speeds, which can cause the engine to burn oil faster.
Fix any leaks: Even if there are no major visible leaks, small leaks can lead to oil loss. Ensure there are no minor leaks from gaskets o r seals.
Solution: Regularly checking and maintaining your engine, using the correct oil, and adopting a better driving style can all help reduce oil consumption in the long run.
