How Can I Tell If My Suzuki Bolan’s Alternator Is Not Charging Properly?

Lately, my Suzuki Bolan has been experiencing electrical issues, like flickering dashboard lights and weak headlights. Could the alternator be failing to charge the battery correctly? What signs should I look for to confirm that the alternator isn’t working as it should?

If the alternator isn’t charging properly, you may notice several symptoms:

Dim o r flickering lights: The headlights o r dashboard lights may appear dim o r flicker, especially at idle.

Battery warning light: If the alternator isn’t charging the battery, the battery warning light on your dashboard may come on.

Difficulty starting: The car might have trouble starting, especially after being off for a while.

Electrical issues: You may notice that electrical accessories like the air conditioning, radio, o r power windows aren’t working efficiently.

To confirm, you can test the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running. A healthy alternator should output between 13.5 to 14.5 volts. If it’s lower, it suggests the alternator may not be charging the battery correctly.
