How do I check for refrigerant leaks in my BMW 2 Series AC system?

My BMW 2 Series AC is not cooling efficiently, and I suspect a refrigerant leak. What are the common areas where leaks occur, and how can I check for them without professional equipment?

A refrigerant leak can cause your BMW 2 Series AC to blow warm air. Here’s how you can check for leaks:

Visual Inspection: Look for oily residue around AC components, especially around the compressor, condenser, hoses, and fittings.
UV Dye Test: Many AC refrigerants contain a UV dye that can be seen under a UV light. Use a UV flashlight to check for leaks.
Soap and Water Test: Spray soapy water on the AC hoses and connections while the system is running. If bubbles appear, there’s a leak.
Pressure Testing: If you have access to an AC manifold gauge, you can check for pressure s, which indicate a leak.
Solution:
If you detect a leak, sealing it may require replacing O-rings, seals, o r hoses. If the leak is severe, you may need professional AC system servicing to refill refrigerant and repair the damaged component.
