How Do I Know if My Suzuki Bolans Catalytic Converter Is Clogged and Needs Replacement?

I’m worried that my Bolans catalytic converter might be clogged. What are the most common signs that indicate the catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly, and how can I confirm if it needs to be replaced?

There are a few common signs that indicate your Suzuki Bolans catalytic converter may be clogged and needs to be replaced o r cleaned:

Loss of Power: A noticeable in engine performance, especially when accelerating o r climbing hills.

Overheating: The engine runs hotter than usual, often indicated by the temperature gauge rising above normal levels.

Stalling o r Hesitation: The engine hesitates, stalls, o r has trouble maintaining speed, particularly when idling o r accelerating.

Increased Fuel Consumption: Your vehicle uses more fuel than usual due to inefficient engine performance.

Strange Exhaust Smell: A rotten egg o r sulfur smell may indicate a problem with the catalytic converter.

If you notice one o r more of these symptoms, it’s recommended to take your Bolan to a trusted mechanic for an exhaust system check. The mechanic can measure the backpressure in the exhaust o r check the converters efficiency to determine if it’s clogged. Replacement is typically required if cleaning the converter does not solve the issue.
