How Does Low-Quality o r Mixed Coolant Lead to Overheating in Suzuki Bolan Vans?

I’ve been using tap water mixed with coolant in my radiator. The engine tends to overheat on hot days o r uphill routes. Could the quality o r type of coolant be causing the issue? What is the recommended coolant for Bolan in Pakistani climate conditions?

Using tap water mixed with coolant o r poor-quality coolant can cause scale buildup and corrosion inside the radiator and engine, reducing cooling efficiency. In Pakistan, many drivers mix ordinary water with a small amount of coolant, thinking its enough—but in reality, this mixture often leads to rust and sediment buildup, especially in older Suzuki Bolan models. For optimal performance in Pakistan’s hot climate, use a 50/50 mix of distilled water and high-quality coolant preferably ethylene glycol-based and flush the cooling system every 1–2 years.
