How Does the Hot Weather in Pakistan Affect the Fuel Economy of My Suzuki Bolan?

The hot temperatures in Pakistan seem to be affecting my Suzuki Bolan’s fuel economy. I’m noticing a significant decrease in mileage, especially during the summer months. Can the extreme heat impact fuel efficiency in the Bolan? What can I do to improve fuel economy in such weather conditions?

Hot weather in Pakistan can impact fuel economy in a few ways:

Increased engine load: High temperatures make the engine work harder to maintain optimal performance, which can lead to increased fuel consumption.

Air conditioning: The use of air conditioning especially in the extreme heat can significantly reduce fuel efficiency, as the engine needs more power to run the A/C.

Thinner engine oil: In hot climates, engine oil may thin out faster, which can result in less effective lubrication and more engine friction, leading to higher fuel consumption.

To improve fuel economy in hot weather, avoid using the A/C when possible, keep your car well-maintained with regular oil changes, and try to park in shaded areas to reduce the internal temperature of the vehicle.
