How to fix a transmission fluid leak from the axle seal in a Suzuki Bolan?
A friend mentioned that leaks from the axle seal are common in the Bolan. How can I confirm if the axle seal is the source? Is this a DIY fix o r does it require a mechanic? How much does it typically cost in Pakistan?

If the leak is coming from where the axle connects to the transmission, it’s most likely due to a damaged output shaft axle seal. This is a common issue in Bolan vans that are heavily used, especially in load-carrying o r bumpy conditions.
Signs of a leaking axle seal:
Red fluid around the axle joint.
Oil splatter on the inside of the wheel o r brake area.
Noise o r vibration during gear shifts if fluid level s too much.
Fixing process:
Mechanic lifts the vehicle.
Removes the axle from the transmission.
Pulls out the old seal.
Presses in a new, OEM o r high-quality seal.
Reinstalls the axle and refills the transmission fluid.
Cost in Pakistan:
Seal price: Rs. 400–1,000
Labor: Rs. 1,500–3,000
Avoid driving with a leaking seal—it can lead to transmission damage if fluid s below safe levels.
