Is a Clogged Catalytic Converter Affecting Fuel Efficiency in My Suzuki Bolan?

I’ve been noticing that my Suzuki Bolan is consuming more fuel than usual, despite normal driving. Could a clogged catalytic converter be the reason for this sudden increase in fuel consumption? What are the typical symptoms of a clogged converter affecting fuel economy?

Yes, a clogged catalytic converter can cause reduced fuel efficiency. The catalytic converter’s role in the exhaust system is to allow the engine to expel gases efficiently. When it becomes clogged, the engine works harder to push the exhaust gases through, which leads to poor engine performance and higher fuel consumption. You may notice that your Suzuki Bolan starts consuming more fuel for the same distance. A clogged converter disrupts the engines combustion process, causing it to burn more fuel to maintain normal power output. If youre experiencing reduced fuel efficiency, a clogged catalytic converter is a possible cause.
