Is It Normal for Power Windows in Suzuki Bolan to Drain the Battery When the Van Is Off?

After getting power windows installed in my Bolan, I’ve noticed the battery drains overnight, especially if the van isn’t driven daily. Could this be due to improper wiring o r a power leak from the window circuit?

No, it’s not normal. If your battery is draining overnight after installing power windows, it’s likely due to improper wiring. Common causes include:

The power window system is connected directly to the battery, not via ignition switch.

Relay not shutting off after the van is turned off.

Short circuit o r current leak from a faulty motor o r switch.

This can quickly drain a weak o r small battery common in Bolan vans. Have a technician use a multimeter to check for parasitic drain when the van is off. Proper installation should cut power to windows when the key is removed.
