Is the Check Engine Light in My Suzuki Bolan Related to a Faulty Purge Control Valve?

The check engine light CEL recently turned on in my Bolan. There’s no major driving issue, but I was told the EVAP system might be the cause. Can a malfunctioning purge valve trigger this light, and how can it be diagnosed?

Yes, the check engine light CEL can be triggered by a fault in the EVAP system, and the purge control valve is a key part of that system. Even though the Bolan doesn’t come with advanced OBD systems in older models, newer o r imported ones may show:

Evaporative Emission Control System Error like P0441, P0443, etc.

Inconsistent fuel pressure o r vapor flow detected during self-check

If you see the CEL and suspect fuel vapor issues, it’s wise to get the purge valve and EVAP lines inspected, especially if youve been experiencing rough starts o r fuel odor.
