Passo 2005 when ignition is turned on the engine doesn’t turn

I have Passo 2005 model. I am facing an issue that when I turn on the ignition the engine does not start. The starter responds on turning the ignition on but the piston chamber is not turning. This issue has occurred twice. Mechanic told me last time that there is no pressure in the piston chamber. Kindly tell me the actual reason due to which this is happening. I have also changed the spark plugs also last time. Kindly guide me to fix this issue. Thanks.
