Problem regarding fuel consumption vitz 07

well i recently bought a vitz 07.its not giving me a good fuel average...i heard frm many members n my uncle (who also owned a vitz) that their car is giving 14-16km..but mine is doing 7-8km ...i just want to ask that wat is problem...does my car need to check out...because i m thinking of taking it to toyota workshop..plz brothers suggest me should i go to toyota or any 1 know any other good machanic????

This is from your other thread - the problem is not with your car, its with your mathematics.

1000 Rs = app 14.5 liters of petrol.

410 kilometers in 14.5 liters of petrol = app. 28.3 kilometers per liter.

When another dude on this website got close to this mileage, he made a new thread professing a new religion named "hypermiling" - you should be jumping with joy.

Normally Vitz milage is not that bad , if you are experencing low milage kindly get its Catalic converter checked as it usually get chocked ,the other symptom to this problem is Detonation (Knock) when using A/c
