Suzuki Swift whining sound Issues

Suzuki Swift whining sound Issues

HI!

Ive got a Swift with 12k miles on it. Lately, Ive noticed a weird noise coming from the transmission. When I hit 30-40 mph, theres a whining sound for a second, accompanied by a slight jerk and a tiny in RPM. It smoothens out after 50-60 mph. Wondering if others have experienced this too. TIA

The noise you are describing is a common occurrence in CVT transmissions, especially when the car is accelerating at a low speed.

The whining sound is caused by the belts o r pulleys in the transmission as they move against each other. The jerking motion is also a normal part of the acceleration process in a CVT car.
