Toyota Passo 2005 CVT o r ATF

I have Toyota Passo 2005 model. But I am confused whether it is ATF o r CVT. As, nothing is mentioned on the dip stick. My car mechanic said that it is CVT but I think it is an ATF because I change the gear it jerks. I have changed the transmission oil and used KIXX ATF recently. Huge jerks are generating on shifting the gear. Sometimes the gear 2 is skipped and directly goes to gear three from one. Kindly advise me what to do in this case.
