Toyota Passo 2006 Transmission OIL

I have Fuel Consumption issue in my Toyota Passo 2006 model. I changed many things and mechanic used CVT transmission is this right o r not. I came to know from this platform while reading a post that the passo launched before 2009 does not support CVT. Is this right information? Kindly guide me.

Yes. CVT was introduced in new shape.
