Toyota passo 2007 Keyless Entry/ Ignition Bizarre Issue. Help Requested

I have Toyota Passo 2007 which I recently bought as a used car. It comes with a Keyless entry and Keyless Ignition System. I have only received a fob key with silt where a small mechanical key can be entered in the sleeves. My car door can only be opened with a Smart Key when it is in my pocket while pressing the button given on it. I can open the Driver Side Door on Driver Side Handle using keyless entry with a smart key. The issue with my car is that the ignition of my car cannot be turned on and I am unable to start my car to drive once I get inside my car.
The car would only start when I remove the mechanical key from the Smart Transponder Sleeve, insert it in the ignition, touch the base of the Transponder close to the ignition area and then turn the ignition. This is a main issue as it is a ling and an irritating process to start the car. I cannot find the batteries of my Smart Key to replace. I can’t understand the reason that why my car is not recognizing the transponder when get inside and want to start the vehicle without a mechanical key while doors can be opened using the smart key.
Kindly give suggestions and help me find out the reason for this issue. Do you think that the ECU RFID antenna inside the car is to blame as it doesn’t detect the Transponder inside the car? Also tell me from where and at what price can I get the duplicate key? I will be very thankful for your help.
