Toyota Premio Full time 4wd advice

Hello,
I have just purchased a Toyota Premio 2005, it is a full time 4WD.
I want to use it in the city and travel once in a while but i have read a lot online that a
4wd will give me problems. Did i make a mistake in buying it?
It has a 1zz engine type is that bad ?
Please assist as i feel i have make a mistake in purchasing this car. Is it true?
I will appreciate your answer

I dont know where you read about it but from my personal experience, 4WD has a better road grip than a 2WD Resulting in it consuming more petrol. Plus side of having 4WD is that if your car gets stuck somewhere you will be able to pull it out because 4Wd has that power compared to 2wd.
