VITZ 2006 Pick

Dear Brothers,


I have a vitz 2006 model (January 2009 import) car. The pick of the car is not good and it has started knocking, between 30 - 70 km/hr speed. I changed oil, oil filter, air filter, cleaned the spark plugs but the problem was not solved. I took the car to TOYOTA capital and they suggested to remove the catalytic convertor which I did, but, the knocking increased and pick problem is still there. However, TOYOTA capital sayed that this is due to poor petrol (I do use petrol from SHELL) and suggested to empty the tank and put 10-15 liter of High Octane Petrol and the problems will be solved. I request you all to guide me to overcome these problems and suggest some good workshop in Rawalpindi / Islamabad. Furthermore, tell me whether computerized tuning is worthy, especially in solving these problems, if yes, suggest a good place to get the said service.

are you using the correct plugs? are they gapped correctly? has the transmission fluid been changed? have you had the fuel pump checked? have you had the rear fuel filter checked (if this model has one)? what size tyres are you running? has the air flow sensor been checked & cleaned?
