Vitz 2008 AC problem

I have purchased a used Toyota Vitz 2008 model. The condition of the car is clean overall and it has a good and powerful engine installed in it. I am facing a problem that my car’s ac turns off when I run on the highway with a speed of 90. The ac gets off of after 5-10 minutes intervals. The cabin becomes hot when ac turns off, although cooling is fine when it is ON. When ac is urn on after off it gets better gradually? Can anyone tell me the reason of its on and off? How to fix this issue?
